We celebrated our 20th year at Patriots in 2018. Collaboration and partnerships were the foundation of Patriots’ Gateway from the beginning.  Patriots’ continues this valuable tradition, working with a wide variety of community partners to provide better programs and services for youth. Partnerships are of paramount importance during these financially challenging times.  A wonderful example of collaboration in our community is the partners that came together to create an amazing, life-changing summer program for the children in Patriots’ Camp Program. The following partners provided programs during the summer program: the University of Illinois Extension, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Youth Services Network, United Way, Rockford Park District, and Zion Lutheran Church.

We are grateful to the William S. Howard Charitable Trust, United Way, Community Foundation of Illinois, Bergstrom and UTC Aerospace Systems for their financial support.  This allowed us to keep our cost affordable for families, while offering campers a wide range of experiences. The generous support of the Rockord Park District for their support with facilities and programing

Volunteer support continues to be the most important component in running our sports programs. Volunteers coach, run concessions, keep score, and help with registration.  Many of our parents look at sports as an avenue to keep their kids in a safe, positive environment with positive role models.  We are fortunate to have really great volunteers who provide those positive role models.

Thank you to all agencies, volunteers, and businesses for helping us to make a difference in the lives of children.
